1.Ladies from the Mursi tribe ┬áposture for a photograph in the Mago National park close Jinka in Ethiopia’s southern Omo Valley district on September 21, 2016. The Mursi are a Nilotic pastoralist ethnic gathering which number around 10,000 individuals in Ethiopia. Some Mursi ladies wear a saucer’ lip plate (dhebi a tugoin). A young lady’s lower lip is cut when she achieves the age of 15 or 16. The injury is then extended after some time to accommodate a huge mud plate. The Mursi tribe is one of only a handful couple of tribes left who proceed with this practice.
