Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan is busy creating and breaking records. The film has not just set the box office on fire ever since its release on July 17, but it has also surpassed the record of Salman’s last hit film Kick. Within just nine days of its release, Bajrangi Bhaijaan has smashed records in India, by becoming Salman’s second film to pocket Rs 200 crore. Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh took to micro-blogging site Twitter to share the box office collections of the Kabir Khan’s latest release.
The film witnessed a massive jump on Saturday (July 25), wherein it minted Rs 20.05 crore, thus taking its cumulative total (only India) to Rs 217.82 crore. It has already surpassed the first-week records of Shah Rukh Khan’s Happy New Year and Aamir Khan’s PK, earning Rs 184 crore in just seven days.
Adarsh further added that exactly a year ago Salman’s Kick opened to historic response at the box office. Bajrangi Bhaijaan has become Salman’s second film to enter the Rs 200 crore club. The film has not just attracted large crowds to the theatres, but it also touted to be Salman’s best film ever.
