Chuck D expects Flavor Flav to perform with Public Enemy, despite a lawsuit recently filed by him over a royalties dispute.
‘Flav has his rights, but took a wrong road on this, ‘Chuck D’, the leader of Public Enemy. Flav had filed a lawsuit Tuesday against Chuck and several Public Enemy producers alleging they owe him recording royalties, merchandising revenue and performance fees.
The lawsuit has allegations that Flav hasn’t received regular songwriting royalties even though he wrote more than 50 Public Enemy songs. Chuck believes that they would continue to perform together despite the lawsuits.
‘We will be [together] on a future stage’ he said.‘Flav’ will again be embarrassed admitting on stage about the way it spun out. It’s always this way with him.’, he added. Chuck D is having a concert scheduled September 7 at the Paradise Rock Club in Boston.
Well, it will be interesting to see the reactions of Flav Five on the response of Chuck D.
