Although he knows that ‘Death Note’ adaptation is a risky thing for the American audience, but he finds worth it for they have made it ‘their own thing’.

“I think there’s a lot of variation from the anime,” Wolff says in an interview. “I think it had already been done so beautifully in the Japanese version, so it was nice to do something turning it on its head, doing something different, and hopefully bringing some life to something already done so well.”

“Light thinks he’s the good guy, but as the movie goes on, he starts to realize he’s not. That, to me, is what makes the movie so interesting,” he added.
