THE DRAKE-MEEK MILL BEEF, EXPLAINED IN GAME OF THRONES GIFS

RAP BEEF ISN’T an uncommon thing, but July has given fans a pretty great example of the form. (We’re not counting the mini-dustup in which Ghostface Killah scared a few apologies out of Action Bronson.) So in that regard, we all owe a big thank-you to Meek Mill and Drake. But in case you’re not a person who listens to streams of local NYC radio stations waiting for a new song to drop, then you might need an explanation of how this started and what’s fueling it. And what better analogy to use then everyone’s favorite tale of intrigue and backstabbery, Game of Thrones?

Okay, so this is how it all started. Last week—in fact, the night that that whole Taylor Swift-Nicki Minaj dustup happened on Twitter—rapper Meek Mill also decided to get some things off his chest and accused Drake of using a ghostwriter.

No, a ghostwriter. Specifically, Meek seemed mad that Drake never tweeted to promote Meek’s recent album, and in fact had used a ghostwriter on Meek’s track “R.I.C.O.,” which Drake appeared on.
