Google Finally Chooses A Date For Its Birthday, Celebrates 17 Years With A Nostalgic Doodle

After celebrating its birthday on four different dates through the years, Google has finally accepted 27th September as its official day of birth. The tech giant celebrated its 17th birthday yesterday with a nostalgic doodle, featuring a desktop PC, lava lamp, balloons, and its ‘Google!’ logo, reminiscent of the 90s.

It’s only after 2006 that Google stuck to celebrating its birthday on 27th September. The year prior to that, in 2005, Google announced its birthday on 26th September. In 2004, Google’s birthday fell on 7th September and in 2003, on 8th September.
Officially, Google’s corporate birthday should fall on 4th September, the day when the company was founded in 1998.
The ‘Happy 17th’ doodle appeared all around the world. Currently, the company is welcoming PM Narendra Modi to Google:
