How To Repurpose An Old Ceiling Fan Into A Lovely Garden Dragonfly?

Like many people, I hate throwing away old pieces of furniture, especially when there are so many great ideas out there for upcycling.

Whether finding a new use for an old bookshelf or turning a child’s play set into a backyard henhouse, the possibilities for giving these items a second life seem endless.

I was immediately drawn to this easy home DIY project that not only repurposes old ceiling fan paddles, but reuses discarded dining room table legs as well.

Clever DIY-er Teri posted this project on Hometalk, where she transformed a set of ceiling fan paddles into a stunning glow-in-the-dark dragonfly decoration.

And by placing the DIY dragonfly in her garden, she was able to give her yard a lovely sprucing up. It will undoubtedly be a great conversation starter for neighbors who pass by.

Scroll through below to see just how easy this garden dragonfly is to create.
