“I’m so amazed and impressed by this little 10-year-old boy’s heroic actions and calm instincts in the middle of that kind of emergency distress,” wrote Dwayne Johnson. “I now need to shake young Jacob’s hand.”
Jacob O’Connor is the Michigan boy who saved life of his 2 year old brother, Dylan while drowning. Jacob when saw little Dylan faced down into his family swimming pool, he pulled him away and did chest compression which he actually learnt from “The Rock” 2015 disaster film “San Andreas”. In his film The rock did the same move to save life of her reel daughter when she was drowned.
Johnson is highly obliged and happy with the bravery of 10-year old, Jacob. He called him on the sets of Skyscraper, the film he is currently working on.
“I’m so proud of you,” Johnson says on a video he posted to his social media pages. “It is such an honor meeting this kid.”
He was even more delighted when Jacob arrived on the set wearing a t-shirt that had the actor’s iconic bull insignia on the front.
“Seeing that picture on this boy’s shirt, got me in the gut,” Johnson wrote with the video on Instagram. “Eventually, we would lose Brutus to heaven, but it wasn’t the picture of Brutus that made me tear up, it was the fact that this 10-year-old kid, had a heart big enough to put our puppies on his shirt after he saved his little 2-year-old brother’s life. What a special day. What a special kid. Thanks Jacob for being awesome and for being the kind of person we all aspire to be.”
