Mira Rajput Kapoor’s Take on Feminism and Puppies

Ever since Mira Rajput Kapoor tied the knot with Bollywood super star Shahid Kapoor, she has been in the spotlight. Her fashion statement has been quite a talk of the town. She did her debut in Karan Johar’s talk show ‘Koffee with Karan Season 10’ with her husband Shahid by her side.

Mira recently spoke at an event on International Women’s Day. She expressed her take on being a homemaker, a mother and feminist. Her statements created quite a drama on social media platform.

On feminism, Mira said, “Feminism isn’t about man versus woman. It’s about equality. There’s a new wave of feminism that’s come which is about aggression.” Mira said in an interview with Mid-Day that she is a proud homemaker and “wears that label with pride”. “I wouldn’t want to spend one hour with Misha and then rush off to work. Why did I have her? Misha is not a puppy. I want to be there for her,” she further added.

After her statements, the Twitteratis took this matter to their Twitter Handle to express their point of view. While some Twitteratis praised her for her bold stand, the others dissed her for her “puppy” remark & “feminism” views. While the rest made it into a joke.

One such tweet read…

“Mira Rajput said, “My child is not a puppy”.

I don’t know if puppies are insulted or babies. (Sic)”
