Suhana Sayeed gets trolled for singing Hindu devotional song

Suhana Sayeed, a contestant on popular singing talent show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa had literally no idea what was coming her for her choice of song. Suhana Sayeed sang a beautiful Hindu Bhakti Song and was praised for her wonderful voice. She won compliments not only for the song but also the choice of song.

Music has always been a peace factor and popular Hindi music shows like Dil Hai Hindustani have contestants from other countries and different religions, who are extremely comfortable in singing Hindi classical and devotional songs.

Popular music director of Kannada industry, Arjun Janya was extremely happy with her talent and also said music can unify religions and music can be the factor to bring peace between religions. What followed after her performance was totally shocking.


This young girl was trolled on Facebook by Mangalore Muslims community page for choosing a Hindu devotional song. They accused her of bringing a disgrace to her society by singing Hindu devotional song in front of so many men and showing off her beauty. They even accused her parents for allowing her to choose this song and this will be the reason why they won’t be going to heaven. This did not stop here. They even went on to say that she should give up her pardah because she doesn’t deserve it.

This troll went viral very quickly and caught everyone’s attention. Many people gave back and there were many who expressed their displeasure on the post posted by Mangalore Muslims page. Mangalore Muslims page further went on to blame Suhana Sayeed for selecting this song with a hidden motive of gaining sympathy votes.
