Rebel Wilson calls Oscars ‘racist’ in hilarious Bafta speech

She said ‘I have never been invited to the Oscars, as you know they are racist’ while presenting the Best Supporting Actor award.

While presenting the Best Supporting Actor award to, as she put it, “some very attractive men”, Rebel Wilson decided to discuss the issue of diversity in film.

This is despite Stephen Fry not mentioning it at all during the evening, and saying it wasn’t an issue.

Wilson said: “I have never been invited to the Oscars, because as you know they are racist.

“But the Baftas have diverse members, and that’s what we all want to see in life isn’t it, diverse members.”

Everyone laughed at this, especially Idris Elba, who put his head in his hands as he shook with mirth.
