The Greatest Showman: Hugh Jackman Is Done To Play P.T Barnum After Logan


Hugh Jackman, the Australian star, popularly known for his role as Wolverine in X-men series is all set to amaze his fans in his new movie, ‘The Greatest Showman’.

He has been a part of the ‘X-Men’ franchise since the first movie of the series released in 2000. Hugh Jackman who always played ‘Logan’, will play the role of P.T Barnum who started the Barnum & Bailey Circus in his upcoming release. P.T Barnum was an  American showman who founded  the circus that became the famous traveling Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus.

The film’s story plot is based on The Greatest Show on Earth’, a 1952 drama film, that showed the behind the curtain’s love and jealousy of the greatest show on the Earth.

Though  Hugh Jackman is broadly announced to play the protagonist Barnum, the movie also casts Rebecca Ferguson, Michelle Williams, Zac Efron and dancer-singer Zendaya.

This film was initially scheduled to be released on December 25, 2016 but delayed by one year and now will release on 25th December 2017. The reasons for pushing back its release date by one year is to avoid clash with the release of La La Land.
