WWE super star Shawn Michaels recently revealed that WWE offered him a WrestleMania 33 match against AJ Styles but he refused to enter the ring. He added “I wish that young man was here 10 years ago, man. I honestly do. I think he’s very talented”.
As we all know, Shawn Michaels’ career last match was WretleMania 26 against The Undertaker where Shawn forced The Undertaker to face him at WrestleMania 26, and he eventually lost the match and ended his career.
Rumors are that Shawn will be returning at Royal Rumble in his hometown San Antonio, but the fact is that he has got an offer for WrestleMania and not Royal Rumble. Shawn Michaels suggested that Shane McMahon can be a great opponent for AJ at WrestleMania and the match can be quite interesting.
In an interview, AJ Styles spoke with Gorilla Position and said Shane Mcmahon is a tough contender at WrestleMania 33 and he is a little bit worried about fans’ criticism. He added that, McMahon has been in the ring with some of the great players like Kurt Angle and his performance was awesome. AJ also said that he loves to accept challenges.
Shawn Michaels is so much involved in WrestleMania that after his retirement also, he has made several special appearances in support of the game. After his retirement, he was honored with Hall of Fame. He has judged WrestleMania 28, which was played between The Undertaker and Triple H. He was also seen in the arena with WWE legends like Stone Cold and Mick Foley during WrestleMania 33.
